When the developers went silent on a Tuesday he had seven hours before anyone noticed, and he spent them writing a calm post about a migration, and pinning it, and answering forty-two questions with the word soon. What he did not say was that the seven hours had felt good, the best he had felt in months, all those people waiting on his next sentence. His savings were gone by Thursday. He missed the seven hours more.
