COMMUNITYGuidelines
Dopamine Boosters is for adults who collect and trade the cards. These rules cover everything you write or share here: your profile, posts, comments, messages, trade notes and photos. If you break them, we remove what you posted and may limit or close your account.
The rules
- 18+ only. The site is for adults. We close accounts that belong to anyone under 18.
- No harassment, hate or threats. Don't bully, stalk or pile on anyone, don't attack people for who they are, and don't threaten anyone.
- Zero tolerance for sexual content involving anyone under 18. We remove it, close the account and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The same goes for any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes.
- No sexual imagery at all, and never intimate images of anyone without their consent.
- No scams. No fake trades, no bait to pay or talk off this site, no phishing links, and never ask anyone for their password, their two-step code or a card's codes.
- No impersonation of another collector, of our staff, or of anyone else.
- No counterfeit cards, and don't offer cards you don't have.
- No sharing other people's personal information (doxxing): no home addresses, phone numbers, workplaces or other private details without the person's consent.
- No card backs or codes from cards you don't own. A card's codes let whoever reads them claim it. Never post a photo of the back of a card or a readable code, even of your own card: we remove those photos to protect you.
- No copyright infringement. Share only what you made or have the right to share.
- No spam: no repeated posts or messages, no mass mentions, no advertising.
Links can't be posted by accounts younger than 7 days, and links in posts and messages are never clickable.
Staying safe when you trade
- When you pay for a card, use a payment method with buyer protection. Never pay with "friends and family" transfers, gift cards or wire transfers: that money doesn't come back.
- Trading in person: scan the cards in your hands before you accept the trade.
- Trading by mail: use a PO box or another address that isn't your home, and keep the tracking number.
- Nobody from Dopamine Boosters will ever ask for your password, your two-step code or a card's codes.
- Trades and sales are between you and the other collector. We record which account holds a card; we don't hold money and we don't guarantee delivery or payment.
What happens when someone breaks a rule
Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we remove the content, send a warning, mute the account (no posting or messaging for a while), restrict what it can do (for example trading or messaging people who aren't friends), suspend it, or ban it. Sexual content involving a minor, or an attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes, means the account is suspended at once and reported to NCMEC.
We email you when we remove something of yours or limit your account. We never tell you who reported you.
Reporting and appeals
Use REPORT on a profile, a card, a post, a comment, a message, a trade or a photo. Pick the reason that fits best:
- Spam: repeated, unwanted or advertising posts and messages.
- Harassment or bullying: targeting, insulting, stalking or piling on someone.
- Scam or fraud: fake trades, bait to pay off this site, phishing links, or asking for codes or passwords.
- Pretending to be someone: an account posing as another collector, as staff, or as anyone else.
- Hate: attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or illness.
- Sexual content: sexual images, or sexual messages nobody asked for.
- Violence or threats: threats against anyone, or encouraging violence.
- Self-harm: content that encourages self-harm, or someone who seems to be at risk.
- A child's safety: anything that sexualises or endangers a child, or an adult trying to contact a child for sexual purposes. We review these first.
- This person seems to be under 18: this site is for adults only, and we close accounts that belong to anyone younger.
- Intimate images shared without consent: intimate or sexual images of a person shared without their consent. We review these first.
- Sharing someone's personal information: a home address, phone number, workplace or other private details shared without the person's consent.
- Copyright: your own work posted without your permission (for a formal notice, see Copyright below).
- Something illegal: anything else that breaks the law, such as selling stolen goods.
- A stolen card: a card you know was stolen, or registered by someone who doesn't hold it.
- Other: anything else that breaks these guidelines.
The person you report isn't told who reported them. A person on our team reviews every report, and reports about a child's safety and about intimate images come first. A post or comment that several established collectors report is hidden until we have checked it.
If you think we got a decision wrong, reply to the email we sent you about it and a person will look again.
If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
Messages
Direct messages are between the two of you, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. Our staff read a message only when it is reported, together with the messages around it for context, and every such reading is logged. Messages carry no photos.
Only your friends and collectors you have traded with can start a conversation with you, and someone who writes to you first can send at most 3 messages until you reply. You can block anyone at any time: a block stops messages both ways.
Photos
Photo uploads aren't open yet. When they open, these rules apply.
A person on our team checks every photo before anyone else can see it. We reject photos that show the back of a card or a readable code, anything sexual, any child's face, and anyone's personal information. Location and camera details are removed from every photo.
Intimate images shared without consent: if an intimate image of you is posted here without your consent, report it with the reason "Intimate images shared without consent" or ask for its removal at support@dopamineboosters.com. We remove it, and copies of it, within 48 hours of a valid request.
Copyright
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated copyright agent at support@dopamineboosters.com. Include:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- the work you say is infringed;
- where the material is on this site (its link);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
When we remove something of yours after a notice, the email we send you explains how to send a counter-notice to the same address. After a valid counter-notice we restore the material, unless the person who sent the notice tells us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
